Curly Top is a 1935 English-language Family Musical film written by Patterson Mcnutt and Arthur J. Beckhard. The movie is directed by Irving Cummings and produced by Winfield R. Sheehan under the banner of Fox Film Corporation. Wealthy Edward Morgan becomes charmed with a curly-haired orphan and her pretty older sister Mary and arranges to adopt both under the alias of Mr. Jones. As he spends more time with them, he soon finds himself falling in love with Mary. Curly top features Shirley Temple, John Boles, Rochelle Hudson, Jane Darwell, Rafaela Ottiano, Esther Dale and Edward Lesaint. The music was composed by Ray Henderson along with Oscar Bradley, R.h. Bassett, Hugo Friedhofer and Arthur Lange. Cinematography was done by John F. Seitz and editing by Jack Murray. The film has a running time of 74 minutes. It was released on 26th July 1935. The movie made a box office gross of $1 million. Distribution rights for the motion picture were acquired by Fox Film Corporation.
