Daikyojû Gappa is a 1967 English-language Comedy Family movie written by Ryûzô Nakanishi, William Ross and Iwao Yamazaki. The movie is directed by Hiroshi Noguchi and Haruyasu Noguchi and produced by Hideo Koi under the banner of Nikkatsu. An expedition in the South Pacific lands on a tropical island where the natives worship the mysterious deity Gappa.. Daikyojû gappa stars Tamio Kawachi in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Tatsuya Fuji, Yoko Yamamoto, Tamio Kawaji, Yôko Yamamoto, Yuji Kodaka and Kôji Wada. The screenplay is written by Iwao Yamazaki and Ryuzo Nakaishi. The music was composed by Saitaro Omori. Cinematography was done by Muneo Ueda and editing by Masanori Tsujii. The motion picture has a running time of 84 minutes. It was released on 1st April 1967.
