Dastaan is a 1972 Hindi-language Drama Thriller movie written by Akhtar-ul-iman and I.s. Johar. The movie is directed by B.r. Chopra and B. R. Chopra and produced by B. R. Chopra. Judge Vishnu Sahai was brought up in an orphanage and has no knowledge of his family background nor of his religion.. Dastaan features Dilip Kumar, Sharmila Tagore, Prem Chopra, Bindu Desai, I.s. Johar, Padma Khanna and Sachin Pilgoankar. The music was composed by Laxmikant Shantaram Kudalkar along with Pyarelal Ramprasad Sharma, Laxmikant-pyarelal and Sahir Ludhianvi. Cinematography was done by Dharam Chopra and editing by Pran Mehra. It was released on 3rd March 1972.
