Decision at Sundown is a 1957 English-language Western Drama film directed by Budd Boetticher and produced by Harry Joe Brown under the banner of Producer-Actor Corporation in collaboration with Scott-Brown Productions. Decision at sundown stars Randolph Scott in the title role along with an ensemble cast including John Carroll, Karen Steele, Valerie French, Noah Beery Jr., John Archer and Andrew Duggan. The screenplay is written by Charles G. Lang which is inspired from Decision at Sundown 1955 novel by Vernon L. Fluharty. The music was composed by Heinz Roemheld. Cinematography was done by Burnett Guffey and editing by Al Clark. The motion picture has a running time of 77 minutes. It was released on 31st October 1957. Distribution rights for the motion picture were acquired by Columbia Pictures. Bart Allison arrives in Sundown planning to kill Tate Kimbrough. Three years earlier he believed Kimbrough was responsible for the death of his wife. He finds Kimbrough and warns him he is going to kill him but gets pinned down in the livery stable with his friend Sam by Kimbrough's stooge Sheriff and his men. When Sam is shot in the back after being told he could leave safely, some of the townsmen change sides and disarm the Sheriff's men forcing him to face Allison alone.
