Devdas is a 1980 Bengali-language Drama Romance motion picture written by Saratchandra Chatterjee, Keshab Chattopadhyay, Chashi Nazrul Islam and Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay. The movie is directed by Chashi Nazrul Islam and Dilip Roy. Two childhood sweethearts departs from each other for religious prejudice and misery starts at life of the protagonist. Devdas features Soumitra Chatterjee, Sumitra Mukherjee, Supriya Choudhury, Uttam Kumar, Kabori Sarwar, Bulbul Ahmed and Sohel. The music was composed by Kalipada Sen.
