Dhanush is a 2009 kannada-language Drama film written by Jayanthi, S. Ramakrishnan and Raju Sundaram. The movie is directed by Jayanthi and Raju Sundaram and produced by K. Karunamoorthy and C. Arunpandian under the banner of Ayngaran International Films. Dhanush stars Ajith Kumar in the title role along with Nayanthara, Navdeep, Piaa Bajpai, Jayaram, Suman, Nassar and Devan in supporting roles. The screenplay is written by Raju Sundaram, Farah Khan, Abbas Tyrewala and Rajesh Saathi which is inspired from Main Hoon Na by Farah Khan. The music was composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Cinematography was done by Arjun Jena and editing by V. T. Vijayan. The film has a running time of 140 minutes. It was released on 25th September 2009.
