Dhoom is a 2004 Hindi-language Action Crime film directed by Sanjay Gadhvi and produced by Aditya Chopra. A mysterious gang of bikers are on a robbing spree. ACP Jai gets Ali, a mechanic, to assist him in the case. With the clock ticking, it's up to them to nab the thieves red handed. Dhoom features Abhishek Bachchan in the lead role along with Uday Chopra, John Abraham, Esha Deol and Rimi Sen in supporting roles. The screenplay is written by Vijay Krishna Acharya. The music was composed by Pritam along with Salim-sulaiman. Cinematography was done by Nirav Shah and editing by Rameshwar S. Bhagat. The film has a running time of 129 minutes. It was released on 27th August 2004. The Film was successful at box office. Dhoom was made on a budget of ₹11 crore and it was a super hit at box office gross of ₹31 crore. Distribution rights for the motion picture were acquired by Yash Raj Films. At the 2005 IIFA Awards It won an award for Best Action. At the 2005 IIFA Awards It also won 2 awards including: Best Performance in a Negative Role and Best Playback Singer - Female.
