The movie is directed by Dennis Hopper and produced by Peter Fonda under the banner of Raybert Productions in collaboration with Pando Company. Two counterculture bikers travel from Los Angeles to New Orleans in search of America. Easy rider features Peter Fonda in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Dennis Hopper, Jack Nicholson, Karen Black, Antonio Mendoza, Phil Spector and Mac Mashourian. The music was composed by The Band along with The Byrds, The Holy Modal Rounders, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Roger Mcguinn and Steppenwolf.
