Football Champion is a 1973 Malayalam-language Drama Family motion picture written by V. Devan and S. L. Puram Sadanandan. The movie is directed by A.b. Raj and A. B. Raj and produced by T. E. Vasudevan under the banner of Jaya Maruthi. Football fans Mathew Koshy and SRK Nair have their own football teams. Their rivalry intensifies when Nair buys Vijayan, the best player in Koshy's team, just before an important tournament. Football champion stars Prem Nazir, Sujatha, Sankaradi, Adoor Bhasi, Innocent Vareed Thekkethala, Dominic Alummodu and Paul Vengala. The music was composed by V. Dakshinamoorthy. Cinematography was done by P. Dathu and editing by B. S. Mani. It was released on 1st January 1973. Distribution rights for the film were acquired by Jaya Maruthi.
