Foxfire is a 1996 English-language Drama Romance motion picture directed by Annette Haywood-carter and produced by Jeffrey Lurie, John Bard Manulis and John P. Marsh under the banner of Chestnut Hill Productions in collaboration with Red Mullet Productions and Rysher Entertainment. Based on the Joyce Carol Oates novel Foxfire: Confessions of a Girl Gang, it examines the coming of age of four high school girls who meet up with a mysterious and beautiful drifter. Foxfire stars Hedy Burress in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Angelina Jolie, Jenny Lewis, Jenny Shimizu, Cathy Moriarty, Sarah Rosenberg and Peter Facinelli. The screenplay is written by Elizabeth White which is inspired from Foxfire: Confessions of a Girl Gang by Joyce Carol Oates. The music was composed by Michel Colombier.
