Ganamela is a 1991 Malayalam-language Comedy Drama film written by Jagadish and directed by Ambili and produced by Ambili under the banner of Ambili Cine Arts. When Venogopal falls in love with Lakshmi while performing at a women's college, his Ganamela troop members helps them get together, though there is opposition from Laksmi's family. Ganamela features Geetha Vijayan, Jagathy Sreekumar, Mukesh Babu, Innocent Vareed Thekkethala, Siddique, Maniyanpilla Raju and Paravoor Bharathan. The screenplay is written by Jagadish. The music was composed by Raveendran along with A. T. Ummer and Jerry Amaldev. Cinematography was done by P. Sukumar and editing by G. Murali. It was released on 16th March 1991. Distribution rights for the movie were acquired by Ambili Cine Arts.
