Gigli is a 2003 English-language Comedy Crime film written and directed by Martin Brest and produced by Martin Brest and Casey Silver under the banner of Revolution Studios in collaboration with Columbia Pictures, Casey Silver Productions and City Light Films. The violent story about how a criminal lesbian, a tough-guy hitman with a heart of gold, and a mentally challenged man came to be best friends through a hostage. Gigli stars Ben Affleck in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Jennifer Lopez, Justin Bartha, Terry Camilleri, David Backus, Lenny Venito and Robert Silver. The music was composed by John Powell. Cinematography was done by Robert Elswit and editing by Julie Monroe and Billy Weber. The movie has a running time of 121 minutes. It was released on 1st August 2003. Gigli was made on a budget of $54 million and at the box office it grossed only $7 million. Distribution rights for the movie were acquired by Sony Pictures Releasing.
