Gladiator is a 1992 English-language Action Drama film directed by Rowdy Herrington and produced by Frank Price and Stephen J. Roth under the banner of Price Entertainment. Tommy Riley has moved with his dad to Chicago from a 'nice place'. He keeps to himself, goes to school. However, after a street fight he is noticed and quickly falls into the world of illegal underground boxing - where punches can kill. Gladiator stars Cuba Gooding Jr. in the lead role along with James Marshall, Robert Loggia, Ossie Davis and Brian Dennehy in supporting roles. The screenplay is written by Lyle Kessler and Robert Mark Kamen. The music was composed by Brad Fiedel. Cinematography was done by Tak Fujimoto and editing by Harry B. Miller III and Peter Zinner. The motion picture has a running time of 101 minutes. It was released on 6th March 1992. Gladiator was made on a budget of $103 million and at the box office it grossed only $9 million. Distribution rights for the movie were acquired by Columbia Pictures.
