Glory is a 1990 English-language Biography Drama film written by Kevin Jarre, Lincoln Kirstein, Peter Burchard and Robert Gould Shaw. The movie is directed by Edward Zwick and produced by Freddie Fields under the banner of Freddie Fields Productions. Robert Gould Shaw leads the U.S. Civil War's first all-black volunteer company, fighting prejudices from both his own Union Army, and the Confederates. Glory stars Matthew Broderick, Denzel Washington, Cary Elwes, Morgan Freeman, Jihmi Kennedy, Andre Braugher and Rodger Williamson. The screenplay is written by Kevin Jarre which is inspired from Lay This Laurel 1973 novel by Lincoln Kirstein One Gallant Rush 1965 novel by Peter Burchard. The music was composed by James Horner. Cinematography was done by Freddie Francis and editing by Steven Rosenblum. The movie has a running time of 122 minutes.
