Green Lantern: Emerald Knights is a 2011 English-language Animation Action film written by Eddie Berganza, Alan Burnett, Todd Casey, Dave Gibbons, Michael Green, Marc Guggenheim, Geoff Johns and Peter Tomasi. The movie is directed by Christopher Berkeley, Lauren Montgomery and Jay Oliva and produced by Bruce Timm, Alan Burnett, Lauren Montgomery and Sam Register under the banner of Warner Premiere in collaboration with DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Animation. On Oa, the headquarters planet of the intergalactic police force, the Green Lantern Corps, the Guardians of the Universe alarming evidence that the feared villain, Krona, is coming to destroy the planet. While the Guardians move to evacuate, Green Lantern Hal Jordan helps the unsure new recruit, Arisia, by telling her several stories of fellow Lanterns and the challenges they faced. Through him, we the adventures of Avra the first Lantern, Princess Laira, Kilowog, the unsociable Mogo and Jordan's immediate predecessor, Abin Sur. The film is based on Hal Jordan by John Broome Gil Kane. The music was composed by Christopher Drake. The film has a running time of 84 minutes. It was released on 7th June 2011. Distribution rights for the motion picture were acquired by Warner Home Video.
