Hamlet is a 1954 Hindi-language Drama motion picture written by Shakespeare and Kishore Sahu. The movie is directed by Kishore Sahu and produced by Kishore Sahu under the banner of Hindustan Chitra. Hamlet suspects his uncle has murdered his father to claim the throne of Denmark and the hand of Hamlet's mother, but the prince cannot decide whether or not he should take vengeance. Hamlet features Kishore Sahu in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Mala Sinha, Venus Bannerjee, Pradeep Kumar, Venus Banerji, Hiralal and Jankidas Mehra. The music was composed by Ramesh Naidu. Cinematography was done by K. H. Kapadia and editing by Kantilal B. Shukla. The film has a running time of 79 minutes. It was released on 17th December 1954.
