Han zhan II is a 2016 Cantonese-language Action Crime motion picture written by Jack Ng, Longman Leung and Sunny Luk. The movie is directed by Longman Leung and Sunny Luk and produced by William Kong, Ivy Ho, Jiang Ping, Zhao Haicheng and Fan Kim-hung under the banner of Irresistible Films in collaboration with Edko Films, EDKO Distribution, Shanghai Tencent Penguin Pictures, China Film Co. and Homeland Pictures. Picking up some time after the events in the first movie, Sean Lau is now the Commissioner of Police after the successful rescue operation. However, things turn bad when his wife and daughter are kidnapped. Sean has to k help from former rival and retired DCP, Waise Lee, to return to his job to help save Sean`s wife and child. Han zhan ii stars Aaron Kwok, Tony Leung, Chow Yun-fat, Charlie Young, Janice Man, Eddie Peng and Sing-chan Yip. The music was composed by Peter Kam. Cinematography was done by Jason Kwan and editing by Jordan Goldman and Ron Chan. The movie has a running time of 110 minutes. It was released on 8th July 2016 in Cantonese and English languages. The film made a box office gross of $115 million. Distribution rights for the film were acquired by Edko Films.
