Heng cai san qian wan is a 1987 Cantonese-language Adventure Comedy film directed by Karl Maka and produced by Karl Maka under the banner of Cinema City & Films Co. Heng cai san qian wan stars Karl Maka in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Brigitte Lin, Paula Tsui, Eric Tsang, Lau Kar-leung, Angile Leung and Mark Cheng. The screenplay is written by Karl Maka, Wellington Fung and Chang Kwok-tse. The music was composed by Alvin Kwok. Cinematography was done by Bob Thompson and Andrew Lau and editing by Tony Chow, Wong Ming-lam and Wong Ming-kong. The movie has a running time of 96 minutes. It was released on 2nd July 1987. The film made a box office gross of $13 million. Distribution rights for the film were acquired by Golden Princess Film Production. Treasury employee Fatty (Eric Tsang) discovered that bags of used 30 million in Hong Kong Dollars have not been incinerated due to a system error; therefore, he hatches up a plot to grab the doe before they are burned. He ks his friends Mark (Mark Cheng) and Tomboy (Anglie Leung) to help him with the heist; but, they also enlist actual thief Baldy (Karl Maka), who had just been released from prison, to double the assistance with his thievery skills. But, Baldy wants the money for his own and to share it with love interest Siu-Fung (Paula Tsui). Hot on their trail is a hothead inspector (Ching Wong) and a nun, Sister Maria (Brigitte Lin), who wants to save them for redemption. Written by Oliver Chu
