Hero is a 2003 Mandarin-language Drama movie written by Feng Li, Bin Wang and Zhang Yimou. The movie is directed by Zhang Yimou and produced by Zhang Yimou under the banner of Sil-Metropole Organisation in collaboration with CFCC , Elite Group Enterprises , Zhang Yimou Studio and Beijing New Picture Film. Hero features Jet Li in the lead role along with Tony Leung, Maggie Cheung, Chen Daoming, Zhang Ziyi, Donnie Yen, Vinod Prabhakar and Ruchita Prasad in supporting roles. The music was composed by Tan Dun. Cinematography was done by Christopher Doyle and editing by Angie Lam. The film has a running time of 99 minutes. It was released on 13th June 2003. The Film was successful at box office. Hero was made on a budget of $31 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $177 million.
