High Fidelity is a 2000 English-language Comedy Drama film written by Nick Hornby, D.v. Devincentis, Steve Pink, John Cusack and Scott Rosenberg. The movie is directed by Stephen Frears and produced by Tim Bevan and Rudd Simmons under the banner of Touchstone Pictures in collaboration with Working Title Films, Dogstar Films and New Crime Productions. Rob, a record store owner and compulsive list maker, recounts his top five breakups, including the one in progress. High fidelity stars John Cusack in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Jack Black, Lisa Bonet, Joelle Carter, Joan Cusack, Sara Gilbert and Iben Hjejle. The screenplay is written by D. V. DeVincentis, Steve Pink, John Cusack and Scott Rosenberg which is inspired from High Fidelity by Nick Hornby. The music was composed by Howard Shore. Cinematography was done by Seamus McGarvey and editing by Mick Audsley. The movie has a running time of 113 minutes.
