High Gear is a 1933 English-language Action Adventure film written by Leigh Jason, Charles Saxton and Rex Taylor. The movie is directed by Leigh Jason and produced by Ken Goldsmith. When Mark 'High Gear' Sherrod (Murray) looses his nerve, the race car driver takes a job driving a taxi, but when he befriends a cute reporter and the young handicapped son of a deceased driver, he attempts to return to the track. High gear features James Murray in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Joan Marsh, Jackie Searl, Eddie Lambert, Ann Brody, Theodore Von Eltz and Lee Moran. Cinematography was done by Edward A. Kull and editing by Louis Sackin. The motion picture has a running time of 67 minutes. It was released on 22nd March 1933. Distribution rights for the movie were acquired by Majestic Pictures.
