Hostel is a 2005 English-language Documentary Horror film written by Eli Roth and directed by Gabriel Roth and Eli Roth and produced by Chris Briggs, Mike Fleiss and Eli Roth. Three backpackers head to a Slovak city that promises to meet their hedonistic expectations, with no idea of the hell that awaits them. Hostel features Jay Hernandez in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Derek Richardson, Ey R Gu J Nsson, Barbara Nedelj Kov, Rick Hoffman, Eli Roth and Franco-giacomo Carbone. The music was composed by Nathan Barr. Cinematography was done by Milan Chadima and editing by George Folsey Jr. The film has a running time of 94 minutes. It was released on 20th April 2006. The Film was successful at box office. Hostel was made on a budget of $4 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $81 million. Distribution rights for the movie were acquired by Lionsgate.
