I Saw The Light is a 2016 English-language Biography Drama movie written by Marc Abraham, Colin Escott, George Merritt and William Macewen. The movie is directed by Marc Abraham and produced by Brett Ratner, Marc Abraham, Aaron L. Gilbert and G. Marq Roswell under the banner of Bron Studios in collaboration with CW Media Finance and RatPac Entertainment. The story of the country-western singer Hank Williams, who in his brief life created one of the greatest bodies of work in American music. The film chronicles his rise to fame and its tragic effect on his health and personal life. I saw the light features Tom Hiddleston in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Elizabeth Olsen, Cherry Jones, Bradley Whitford, Maddie Hasson, Wrenn Schmidt and David Krumholtz. The film is based on Hank Williams: The Biography by Colin Escott George Merritt William MacEwen. The music was composed by Aaron Zigman. Cinematography was done by Dante Spinotti and editing by Alan Heim. The film has a running time of 123 minutes. It was released on 1st April 2016.
