In This Corner of the World is a 2016 Japanese Animation film. Set in Hiroshima during World War II, the film narrates the story of an 18-year-old girl who is married to a man she hardly knows and how she manages the household during the crisis period. The Film features Rena None in the lead role along with Yoshimasa Hosoya, Natsuki Inaba, Minori Omi, Daisuke Ono, Megumi Han, Shigeru Ushiyama, Mayumi Shintani, Nanase Iwai and Tengai Shibuya in supporting roles. The film was written and directed by Sunao Katabuchi and produced by Masao Maruyama and Taro Maki under his production banner MAPPA. It was distributed by Tokyo Theatres. The movie is based on the graphical novel In this Corner of the World by Fumiyo Kono. Yuya Kumazawa and Kashiko Kimura served as the cinematographer and editor respectively. Music was composed by Kotringo. It has a running time of 129 minutes and was released on November 12, 2016. The film was made on a budget of $2. 2 million and it was a super hit at the box office with a collection of $22.5 million.
