Infamous is a 2006 English-language Biography Crime film written by Douglas Mcgrath and George Plimpton. The movie is directed by Douglas Mcgrath and produced by Christine Vachon and Jocelyn Hayes under the banner of Arclight Films. While researching his novel In Cold Blood, Truman Capote develops a close relationship with convicted murderers Dick Hickock and Perry Smith. Infamous features Sigourney Weaver in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Toby Jones, Gwyneth Paltrow, Sandra Bullock, Isabella Rossellini, Peter Bogdanovich and Rey Arteaga. The music was composed by Rachel Portman. It was released on 13th October 2006. Infamous was made on a budget of $13 million and at the box office it grossed only $2 million. Distribution rights for the film were acquired by Warner Independent Pictures.
