The movie is directed by Shiv Kumar and Kamalakara Kameswara Rao and produced by Jagarlamudi Radhakrishna Murthy, N. Narayana Swamy and P. Rambabu under the banner of Jaganmatha Arts. Balmukand lives a poor lifestyle in a village in India along with his wife, Sharda, and son, Alok. They share their house with his brother.. Jai shakumbhari maa features Krishnam Raju in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Vanisri, Kaikala Satyanarayana, Mamta Agarwal, Pooja Agarwal, Eisshan and Poorva Ghosh. The music was composed by Ravindra Jain along with S. Rajeswara Rao. Cinematography was done by K. S. Prasad and editing by Veerappa. It was released on 1st January 2000.
