Kalpana is a 1960 Hindi-language Romance Drama movie written by Akhtar-ul-iman, Jalal Malihabadi and R.k. Rakhan. The movie is directed by R.k. Rakhan and produced by Ashok Kumar Ganguly, T.s. Ganesh and Ashok Kumar under the banner of Ashok Pictures Pvt. Ltd. Widower Amar leads a middle-class lifestyle in Bombay along with his widowed mom, and a daughter, Munni.. Kalpana stars Ashok Kumar in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Iftekhar Khan, Achala Sachdev, Sudesh Sunder, S. Nazir, Balam and Baby Farida. The music was composed by O.p. Nayyar. Cinematography was done by Ratan L. Nagar and editing by Bimal Roy. It was released on 1st August 1960.
