Kanasugara is a 2001 Kannada-language Drama motion picture written by M. S. Ramesh and directed by Karan and produced by Sa. Ra. Govindu under the banner of Thanu Chitra. Kanasugara stars V. Ravichandran in the lead role along with Prema, Shashikumar, Hema Choudhary and Mandya Ramesh in supporting roles. The screenplay is written by Karan which is inspired from Unnidathil Ennai Koduthen. The music was composed by Rajesh Ramanath. Cinematography was done by G. S. V. Seetharam and editing by Shyam Yadav. The film has a running time of 147 minutes. It was released on 11th February 2001.
