Kathputli is a 1971 Hindi-language Family Romance movie written by Ved Rahi, Verma Malik, Indeevar and Shadaab. The movie is directed by Brij Sadanah and produced by Brij under the banner of Dynamo International. Nisha (Mumtaz) loves Vishal (Jeetendra) and they get married. Ignoring basic driving safety rules they end up in an accident.. Kathputli features Jeetendra Kapoor in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Mumtaz Askari, Helen Richardson, Master Bhagwan, Jalal Agha, Master Chicoo and Manmohan Talkh. The music was composed by Kalyanji Anandji. Cinematography was done by Anwar Siraj and editing by Waman Rao. The film has a running time of 149 minutes. It was released on 28th August 1971.
