Kaviya Thalaivan is a 1992 Tamil-language motion picture directed by K. S. Gopalakrishnan and produced by C. Arunpandian, K. Vijayakumar, B. Sakthivel and Aabavanan under the banner of Tamil Ponni Art. Manikkam saves a rich man's life who in turn gives him a job. But problems ensue when the rich man's granddaughter, who hates Manikkam, accuses him of misbehaving with her. Kaviya thalaivan features Vijayakanth, Bhanupriya, M. N. Nambiar, Manorama, Manjula Vijayakumar, Nassar and Charle. The screenplay is written by Aabavanan and K. S. Gopalakrishnan. The music was composed by Aravind Siddhartha. Cinematography was done by N. K. Viswanathan and editing by K. Govindasamy. The film has a running time of 170 minutes. It was released on 7th June 1992.
