Khanjar is a 1980 Hindi-language Thriller Drama film written by Ram Govind and directed by Atma Ram and Atmaram and produced by Atmaram and Gurudutt Films. A sleuth leaves a diary and a dagger with his friend; soon after, he is murdered and his murder is followed by the murder of others inquiring about the dagger. Intrigued, the sleuth's friend sets out to unravel the mystery of the dagger himself. Written by Ravi Singh. Khanjar features Navin Nischol, Reena Roy, Suresh Oberoi, Amjad Khan, Mehmood, Rita Bhaduri and Shekhar Kapur. The music was composed by Nitin Mangesh along with Maya Govind. Cinematography was done by K. R. Murthy, and Yusuf and editing by E. G. Shinde. It was released on 1st January 1979. Khanjar was made on a budget of ₹5 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹60 lakh.
