Kunku is a 1937 Marathi-language Drama movie written by Narayan Hari Apte and Munshi Aziz. The movie is directed by Rajaram Vankudre Shantaram and V. Shantaram Rajaram Vankudre Shantaram and produced by Prabhat Film Company. Neera is trapped into marrying an old widower Kakasaheb. Neera refuses to consummate the union claiming that while suffering can be borne, injustice cannot. Neera faces many hurdles. Kunku features Shanta Apte in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Keshavrao Date, Raja Nene, Vimala Vasishta, Shakuntala Paranjpye, Master Chhotu and Vasanti. The music was composed by Keshavrao Bhole. Cinematography was done by V. Avadhoot. The film has a running time of 154 minutes. It was released on 27th October 1937.
