Lajwanti is a 1958 Hindi-language Drama Family motion picture written by Sachin Bhowmick, Umesh Mathur and Surendra Shailaj. The movie is directed by Narendra Suri and produced by Mohan Segal under the banner of Swastik Productions. Having been unjustly accused of having an affair, a dutiful and loving wife is thrown out of the house by her husband and forced to abandon her baby.. Lajwanti features Nargis Dutt in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Balraj Sahni, Kumari Naaz, Prabhu Dayal, Radhakrishan, Manorama Rajan Haksar and Kusum Thakur. The music was composed by Sachin Dev Burman along with Ajay-atul and Ismail Darbar. Cinematography was done by M. N. Malhotra and editing by Pratap Dave.
