Lakshmi is a 2014 Hindi-language Drama Musical film written and directed by Nagesh Kukunoor and produced by Elahe Hiptoola, Nagesh Kukunoor and Satish Kaushik. Based on true events, Lakshmi is a story of heroism and untold courage. Lakshmi, a 13 year old girl is kidnapped and sold into prostitution.. Lakshmi stars Nagesh Kukunoor, Monali Thakur, Satish Kaushik, Shefali Shah, Ram Kapoor, Gulfam Khan and Shefali Shetty. The screenplay is written by Nagesh Kukunoor.
