Late Life: The Chien-Ming Wang Story is a 2018 English-language Documentary Sport motion picture written by Hui-chuan Chan and Wen-hao Winston Chou. The movie is directed by Frank W Chen and produced by Frank W Chen, Hai-tao Wu and Brian Yang under the banner of WYC Motions in collaboration with EBOS International, Activator Marketing Company and 408 Films. The first and only Taiwanese player for the New York Yankees, Chien-Ming Wang held many titles: American League Wins Leader, World Series Champion, Olympian, Time 100 Most Influential, and The Pride of Taiwan. He had it all - until a 2008 injury forever altered the course of his career. LATE LIFE: The Chien-Ming Wang Story - named after the late sinking action on his signature pitch - follows the rise and fall of the international icon as he fights his way back into the Major Leagues through endless rehab programs and lengthy stints away from home, carrying the weight of the world on his battered shoulder. A poignant and intimate account of Wang's steadfast quest, LATE LIFE tells the story of a man who is unwilling to give up and unable to let go. Late life: the chien-ming wang story stars Chien-ming Wang in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Alan Chang, Neil Allen, Brian Cashman, Billy Connors, Charlene Wu and Justin Wang. The music was composed by Shawn Sutta along with Adam Robl. Cinematography was done by Hai-Tao Wu and editing by Amy Chih-Hsin Lee. The movie has a running time of 99 minutes. It was released on 14th December 2018. Distribution rights for the motion picture were acquired by Passion River Films.
