Lil Abner is a 1940 English-language Comedy motion picture directed by Albert S. Rogell and produced by Lou L. Ostrow under the banner of Vogue Pictures in collaboration with Ltd. Lil abner features Jeff York in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Martha O'driscoll, Mona Ray, Johnnie Morris, Buster Keaton, Billie Seward and Kay Sutton. The screenplay is written by Charles Kerr and Tyler Johnson which is inspired from Li'l Abner by Al Capp. The music was composed by Lud Gluskin. Cinematography was done by Harry Jackson and editing by Otto Ludwig and Donn Hayes. The motion picture has a running time of 78 minutes. It was released on 9th November 1940. Distribution rights for the motion picture were acquired by RKO Radio Pictures.
