Locke is a 2014 English-language Drama film written and directed by Steven Knight and produced by Paul Webster and Guy Heeley under the banner of Shoebox Films in collaboration with IM Global. Ivan Locke, a dedicated family man and successful construction manager, receives a phone call on the eve of the biggest challenge of his career that sets in motion a series of events that threaten his carefully cultivated existence. Locke stars Tom Hardy in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Olivia Colman, Ruth Wilson, Andrew Scott, Ben Daniels, Tom Holland and Bill Milner. The music was composed by Dickon Hinchliffe. Cinematography was done by Haris Zambarloukos and editing by Justine Wright. The film has a running time of 85 minutes. It was released on 11th April 2014 and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released and became successful at box office. Locke was made on a budget of $2 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $5 million. Distribution rights for the movie were acquired by Lionsgate.
