Lords of Dogtown is a 2005 English-language Biography Drama motion picture written by Stacy Peralta and directed by Catherine Hardwicke and produced by John Linson under the banner of Columbia Pictures in collaboration with TriStar Pictures, Art Linson Productions, Indelible Pictures and Senator International. The film follows the surf and skateboarding trends that originated in Venice, California during the 1970's. Lords of dogtown stars Heath Ledger in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Emile Hirsch, John Robinson, Victor Rasuk, Michael Angarano, Nikki Reed and Rebecca De Mornay. The music was composed by Mark Mothersbaugh. Cinematography was done by Elliot Davis and editing by Nancy Richardson. The film has a running time of 107 minutes.
