Loser is a 2000 English-language Comedy Romance motion picture written and directed by Amy Heckerling and produced by Amy Heckerling, Twink Caplan and John M. Eckert. A college student, branded a loser by his roommates and booted from the dorm, falls in love with a coed who has eyes for their condescending professor. Loser stars Jason Biggs, Mena Suvari, Greg Kinnear, Zak Orth, Thomas Sadoski, Jimmi Simpson and Haley Woods. The music was composed by David Kitay. Cinematography was done by Rob Hahn and editing by Debra Chiate. The movie has a running time of 95 minutes. It was released on 21st July 2000. Loser was made on a budget of $20 million and at the box office it grossed only $18 million. Distribution rights for the motion picture were acquired by Columbia Pictures.
