Maalamaal is a 1988 Hindi-language Comedy movie written by Charandas Shokh and directed by Kawal Sharma and Kewal Sharma and produced by Bipan K. Dewan. A slum dweller discovers that his grandfather has left a property of 330 billion rupees for him, but he can own it only if he is able to spend 30 billions in 30 days. Maalamaal features Naseeruddin Shah in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Poonam Dhillon, Satish Shah, Mandakini Joseph, Aditya Pancholi, Dalip Tahil and Amjad Khan. The music was composed by Anu Malik. Cinematography was done by Pratap Sinha and editing by Kewal Sharma. The motion picture has a running time of 139 minutes. It was released on 1st November 1988.
