Major League is a 1989 English-language Comedy motion picture written and directed by David S. Ward and produced by Chris Chesser and Irby Smith under the banner of Morgan Creek Productions in collaboration with Mirage Productions. The new owner of the Cleveland Indians puts together a purposely horrible team so they'll lose and she can move the team. But when the plot is uncovered, they start winning just to spite her. Major league features Tom Berenger in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Charlie Sheen, Corbin Bernsen, Margaret Whitton, Dennis Haysbert, James Gammon and Rene Russo. The music was composed by James Newton Howard. Cinematography was done by Reynaldo Villalobos and editing by Dennis M. Hill. The movie has a running time of 106 minutes.
