Man of the House is a 1995 English-language Comedy Family movie written by David E. Peckinpah, Richard Jefferies, James Orr and Jim Cruickshank. The movie is directed by James Orr and produced by Bonnie Bruckheimer and Marty Katz under the banner of Walt Disney Pictures in collaboration with All Girl Productions and Orr & Cruickshank Productions. A young boy refuses to accept his mother's new boyfriend, a lawyer, despite the man's attempts to win his respect, while disgruntled relatives of a criminal he prosecuted k revenge. Man of the house features Chevy Chase in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Farrah Fawcett, Jonathan Taylor Thomas, George Wendt, David Shiner, Art Lafleur and Richard Portnow. The screenplay is written by James Orr and Jim Cruickshank. The music was composed by Mark Mancina. Cinematography was done by Jamie Anderson and editing by Harry Keramidas. The movie has a running time of 96 minutes. It was released on 3rd March 1995. Man of the House was made on a budget of $22 million and at the box office it grossed only $21 million.
