Maqsad is a 1984 Hindi-language Action Crime film written by Kader Khan, Murali Paruchari, Gopalakrishna Paruchuri, Venkateswara Rao Paruchuri and Indeevar. The movie is directed by K. Bapaiah and produced by D. Rama Naidu under the banner of Suresh Productions. Rajeshwar belongs to a wealthy family, and is the only son of Dharamraj, who is an industrialist, and partners with Naglingam Reddy.. Maqsad stars Rajesh Khanna in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Jaya Prada, Jeetendra Kapoor, Sridevi Kapoor, Waheeda Rehman, Prem Chopra and Ranjit Barot. The screenplay is written by Paruchuri Brothers which is inspired from Mundadugu. The music was composed by Bappi Lahiri. Cinematography was done by A. Venkatesh and editing by K. A. Marthand. The movie has a running time of 167 minutes. It was released on 27th April 1984. The motion picture made a box office gross of ₹4 crore.
