Mary Kom is a 2014 Hindi-language Biography Drama film written by Saiwyn Qadras, Ramendra Vasishth and Karan Singh Rathore. The movie is directed by Omung Kumar and produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Viacom18 Motion Pictures under the banner of Bhansali Productions in collaboration with Viacom18 Motion Pictures. After plans to shoot in Kom's hometown, Manipur, were dropped due to safety concerns, Mary Kom was shot in Dharamshala and Manali, where a major portion of Manipur was recreated. Mary kom stars Priyanka Chopra, Darshan Kumaar, Sunil Thapa, Robin Das, Rajni Basumatary, Zachary Coffin and Kenny Basumatary. The screenplay is written by Saiwyn Quadras. The music was composed by Shashi Suman along with Shivamm Pathak and Rohit Kulkarni. Cinematography was done by Keiko Nakahara and editing by Rajesh G. Pandey and Sanjay Leela Bhansali. At the 2015 National Film Awards It won an award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment.
