Melvilasam is a 2011 Malayalam-language Drama Thriller film written by Soorya Krishnamoorthy, M. Rajendran and Mohammed Saleem. The movie is directed by Madhav Ramadasan and produced by Mohammed Salim and M. Rajendran under the banner of Mark Movies. A single yet brilliant court martial session of a dalit soldier accused of killing a Captain and attempting to kill another captain. Melvilasam stars Suresh Gopi in the title role along with Thalaivasal Vijay, Nizhalgal Ravi, Krishnakumar, Ashokan Ae, Krishna Kumar and R Parthiban in supporting roles. The screenplay is written by Soorya Krishna Moorthy which is inspired from Melvilasom by Soorya Krishna Moorthy. The music was composed by Samson Kottoor. Cinematography was done by Anand Balakrishnan and editing by K. Srinivas. The film has a running time of 105 minutes. It was released on 29th April 2011. Distribution rights for the film were acquired by Chithralaya Films Release.
