Metti is a 1982 Tamil-language Drama film directed by J. Mahendran and produced by Ganeshan. Metti explores the lives of three women a mother and her two daughters and their relationship with Pattabhi, who enters their life in the beginning of the film. Metti stars Sarath Babu in the title role along with Raadhika, C. R. Vijayakumari, Rajesh, Vadivukkarasi, Venniradai Moorthy, Kumarimuthu and Radhika Sarathkumar in supporting roles. The screenplay is written by J. Mahendran. The music was composed by National Award winner Ilaiyaraaja. Cinematography was done by Ashok Kumar and editing by B. Lenin. The motion picture has a running time of 121 Minutes. It was released on 1st January 1982. Distribution rights for the film were acquired by Rose Arts.
