Mil-jeong is a 2016 Korean-language Action Drama film written and directed by Kim Jee-woon and produced by Choi Jeong-hwa. Set in the late 1920s, The Age of Shadows follows the cat-and-mouse game that unfolds between a group of resistance fighters trying to bring in explosives from Shanghai to destroy key Japanese facilities in Seoul, and Japanese agents trying to stop them. A talented Korean-born Japanese police officer, who was previously in the independence movement himself, is thrown into a dilemma between the demands of his reality and the instinct to support a greater cause. Written by Anthony Mumford. Mil-jeong stars Song Kang-ho in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Gong Yoo, Han Ji-min, Uhm Tae-goo, Shin Sung-rok, Byung-hun Lee and Kang-ho Song. The music was composed by Mowg. Cinematography was done by Kim Ji-yong and editing by Yang Jin-mo. The motion picture has a running time of 140 minutes. It was released on 5th January 2017 in Korean and Japanese languages. The Film was successful at box office. Mil-jeong was made on a budget of $8 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $55 million. Distribution rights for the film were acquired by Warner Bros.
