Naalaiya Manithan is a 1989 tamil-language film directed by Velu Prabhakaran and produced by Thakkali Srinivasan under the banner of Perfect Productions. A doctor invents a drug which brings dead people back to life. He injects the drug into the corpse of an orphan which alters his mental condition and sets him on a killing spree. Naalaiya manithan features Prabhu in the lead role along with Amala, Ajay Rathnam and Jaishankar in supporting roles. The screenplay is written by Velu Prabhakaran. The music was composed by Premi Srini. Cinematography was done by Velu Prabhakaran and editing by V. Chakrapani. The film has a running time of 108 minutes. It was released on 14th January 1989.
