Native Son is a 2019 English-language Drama movie directed by Rashid Johnson and produced by Matthew Perniciaro and Michael Sherman. A young African-American living in Chicago enters into a seductive new world of money and power after he is hired as a chauffeur for an affluent businessman. Native son features Ashton Sanders in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Margaret Qualley, Nick Robinson, Kiki Layne, Bill Camp, Sanaa Lathan and Elizabeth Marvel. The screenplay is written by Suzan-Lori Parks which is inspired from Native Son by Richard Wright. The music was composed by Michael J. Stein along with Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein.
