Oblivion is a 2013 English-language Action Adventure movie written by Joseph Kosinski, Karl Gajdusek and Michael Arndt. The movie is directed by Joseph Kosinski and produced by Duncan Henderson, Joseph Kosinski, Peter Chernin, Dylan Clark and Barry Levine under the banner of Relativity Media in collaboration with Chernin Entertainment, Monolith Pictures and Radical Studios. Based on Kosinski's unpublished graphic novel of the same name, the film pays homage to 1970s sci-fi, and is a love story set in 2077 on an Earth desolated by an alien war a maintenance technician on the verge of completing his mission finds a woman who survived from a space ship crash, leading him to question his purpose and discover the truth about the war. Oblivion features Tom Cruise, Morgan Freeman, Olga Kurylenko, Andrea Riseborough, Nikolaj Coster-waldau, Melissa Leo and Nick Kellington. The screenplay is written by Karl Gajdusek and Michael deBruyn which is inspired from Oblivion by Joseph Kosinski. The music was composed by Anthony Gonzalez along with M83 and Joseph Trapanese. Cinematography was done by Claudio Miranda and editing by Richard Francis-Bruce. The film has a running time of 124 minutes. It was released on 12th April 2013.
